Being alive certainly has its ups and downs, but it definitely beats the alternative, as they say.

But would you really want to live forever?

Let’s look at the positives of that.

You would never have to worry about how you were gonna die.

Fear would go out of your existence.

Time would lose its meaning.

Yep, every day would be a fear-free day with no worries about the future.

Or would it?

So let’s consider the negatives of living forever.

Assuming we didn’t age (otherwise, forget it), what would it be like?

Well, we’d soon use up our savings and Social Security. I guess we’d have to go back to work to build all that up again.

We’d watch all of our friends and loved ones grow old and die, while we just keep going on and on...

We would see our fellow humans make the same stupid mistakes over and over and over again.

And how many times around the seasons would it take before we no longer looked forward to those cool, colorful Fall days, that first crispness and beauty of a Winter’s new-fallen snow, that first tender green blush of Spring or that first golden day of Summer?

The preciousness of a sublime moment -- like falling in love or watching a child take a first step -- would be diminished knowing we’re still going to be around long after that loved one or child is gone.

People would begin to shun us, regarding us as some kind of monster who can’t be killed or ever die.

And would we grow bored with living when Life’s interesting changes lose all meaning?

There’s something undeniable about the certain knowledge that we’re all going to die someday: It’s that Life is indeed precious and should never be taken for granted.

And it should make us truly appreciate the time we have been given.

To do something positive with our life and not keep putting things off till tomorrow. To take care of our health, knowing how quickly it can slip away. To hug our friends and family members as often as possible, knowing these loving gestures are what makes Life worth living.

Yeah, living forever sounds good at first.

But I believe a life without the certainty of death someday would ultimately be a lonely, hollow one.

So hug that loved one, and rejoice in the now.

Because beyond our individual, personal religious beliefs, it's really all we have.

Well for starters we don’t ever actually die anyway. We lose this physical body and continue on in energy form of soul and spirit to advance ourselves more completely if that’s what we choose to do. We stand outside of time and see as ffee as we could possibly imagine and we realize just how important Love and truth are in the overall plan of things and how we are all interconnected . So myself for one can’t wait for my number to eventually come up and to be able to rediscover and enjoy being ”HOME” once again in all its glory and spending endless time discovering and learning and growing beyond anything we could possibly comprehend in this lifeti…
