What’s the secret to winning a lady’s heart?

Oh, there are many things that might do it.

Good looks, lots of money, a fancy car…

Yes, they’ve all had a certain amount of success when it comes to gaining a woman’s favor.

But there are talents that every young man should know to have an advantage over the competition.

Let’s face it: Women LOVE to dance. Far, far more than the average dude. Women seem to be wired to move their bodies in a pleasing way. They’re also built to dance.

With their hourglass figures and natural voluptuousness, they can sway to a beat in an instinctive, primitive way that says “I am a Dance Goddess. Come hither, manling, and just try to imitate these moves…”

Well son, you’d better be ready when that “come hither and dance with me” look flashes your way. Because almost nothing is quicker to a woman’s approval than a guy who can not only keep up on the dance floor but really throw down some sexy John Travolta moves.

I think a good dancer has it made, female-wise.

Now, I never was a great dancer. Heck, I was never even a good dancer. But I have seen the least likely guys -- looks-wise -- knocking it out of the park with the ladies if they’ve got the right steps.

That’s because most women are always just itching to get out on the floor and dance but they want a PARTNER! They’ll settle for a partner who simply tries to clumsily ape their moves.

But a guy who can turn on the Michael Jackson moonwalk stuff is gold.

Another quality women go nuts for in men is an ability to work that toolbox.

Yes, a guy who knows his tools and how to use them can catch the eye of a lady seeking that White Knight who can step in at a moment’s notice and fix that garbage disposal or locate that whirring sound coming from their car’s engine.

And fix it -- without calling a plumber or taking it to a mechanic.

Again, I’m not a great mechanic. I’m not even a good mechanic (does this sound familiar?).

You may be wondering by now: “Well, what can this guy (me) do that’s kept him from being a pathetic, unmarried schlub all these years?”

OK, see, I have OTHER talents, like, uh, oh, I can play the guitar? And, uh, I’m a nice person?

Anyway, I was somehow able to find someone to overlook my shortcomings in the dancing and mechanic departments -- thank goodness.

But I was lucky. Very lucky.

My advice to a young boy who wants to know the best way to some day win his Lady Fair:

Become a mechanic -- who dances.

A dancing mechanic!

It’s what the world needs more of.
